After students' frustrating research efforts and a nudge from the ACLU, the Vineland School District has removed its LGBT filter that previously banned access to gay websites on school computers.

Students can now access informational websites like the Human Rights Campaign, the Daily Journal reports, and no longer will students like high school junior Justin Rodriguez have trouble researching Harvey Milk.

The ban was fully removed March 31. It's not clear why the filter was there in the first place.
