Original Apple fonts had Philly-based names

By Shannon McDonaldBet you didn't know a Narberth native helped design fonts for Apple. Even more interesting: the original fonts almost had Philly-based names. Instead of Chicago and Geneva, you could be typing in Paoli or Overbrook.
Technically Philly has a Q&A with Susan Kare, a typeface designer who worked at apple during the development of the original Macintosh personal computer. The Narberth native, along with fellow former Apple employee and Narberth native Andy Hertzfeld, named some of the fonts after stops on SEPTA's Regional Rail Paoli line. Until Steve Jobs stepped in.
