Monday night, seven Philadelphia City Council-at-large candidates met in a debate hosted by WHYY and Newsworks, the League of Women Voters of Philadelphia, the Committee of Seventy, Philadelphia Media Network, the Philadelphia Tribune, and Al Dia.
Council-at-large candidates run citywide. Each party nominates five candidates, voters choose five, and the top seven vote-getters win seats, ensuring two minority representatives.

WHYY Senior Reporter Dave Davies moderated the debate.

David Oh, an attorney from Cobbs Creek
Dennis O’Brien, a state legislator from Millbrook
Al Taubenberger, President of the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce from Fox Chase

DEMOCRATS
Bill Green, a City Councilman, entrepreneur and attorney from Chestnut Hill.
Blondell Reynolds Brown, a City Councilwoman, educator, community activist, and political leader from Wynnefield

NOT ATTENDING:
William Greenlee, a City Councilman from Fairmount.
