The Trestle Inn stands in the shadow of the Reading Viaduct at Callowhill and 11th streets in Philadelphia.

A jubilant Twitter hashtag was transmogrified into a three-dimensional, flesh-and-blood gathering of real people at Friday night's #whyilovephilly party, hosted by hipster haven and whiskey bar The Trestle Inn.

NewsWorks caught up with a couple of the brains behind the brews to see what Philly's fans have been tweeting. Watch the video above to feel the love.

Why do you love Philly?
Tell us in the comments below.

To celebrate all things Philadelphia, technology collective Independents Hall and civic leadership organization Young Involved Philadelphia teamed up with Philly Love Notes blogger Emma Fried-Cassorla for the event.

More than 200 fans of the city attended to share stories, make new friends and write a few love notes to the city.

Proceeds were donated to Mighty Writers, an organization that teaches writing skills to kids in the city.

We have a small collection of recent #whyilovephilly tweets below.
