As Philadelphia and Camden say goodbye to a violent 2012, New York City just finished the year with its lowest homicide total since the city began keeping accurate tallies in 1963.
Former Philadelphia Daily News reporter and Pulitzer Prize winner Wendy Ruderman is now the Police Bureau Chief at the New York Times, and wrote about the landmark low for homicides. She spoke with NewsWorks Tonight Host Dave Heller about what drove the change, and what our own area could stand to learn from the Big Apple.
