Humane officers removed as many as 25 - 35 dogs from a Marcus Hook law firm that doubles as an animal rescue.
According to NBC10, the dogs pulled from the building were "neglected, abused and suffering from various medical conditions."
The report states that the abuse had been going on for about five years and that the SPCA had been sued in the past for seizing neglected animals from the property.
ABC6 reports that the building's owner, Terry Silva, who is also a lawyer, " posed as an animal rescue group and collected animals from a number of states through the internet.
