AmeriCorps announces new projects in Wilmington

Two new AmeriCorps projects to be unveiled in Wilmington this morning. CEO of the Corporations for National and Community Service Wendy Spencer will join Senators Coons and Carper along with Governor Markell and Wilmington Mayor Dennis Williams to announce the new programs this morning that will help children and veterans across Delaware.

One initiative will feature AmeriCorps teaming up with the National Guard to provide services to Guard members and their families. The second will strengthen the relationship between AmeriCorps and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware.
