Dear Mr. Norcross, Please begin all over with your editors. The level of their writing, thinking and recommending things to the public reminds me of the writing and thinking of the 19 and 20 year olds who wrote for my college newspaper. Not good enough for a big city. Philadelphia needs more maturity, more wisdom, more knowledge and depth of understanding of issues and of everything NOT now on the Inquirer Board. Please hire what we need instead of what you have there for your masthead.

I would love to see them implement DISQUS commenting on their articles as well, it would probably help keep out the trolls. While part of me dislikes that I will have to pay more to get my news, it will be good to have a somewhat stable funding source for Philly's print media. I just hope that they have the good since to improve the quality and depth of their articles. Tablet-optimized versions would be a great edition that could cater to younger media consumers like myself.

Dave's awesome column and a host of other great stuff on NewsWorks, WHYY-FM, and WHYY-TV don't happen for free. I support this enterprise, and everyone who uses this service should make a gift, no matter how small. 100,000 members can't be wrong! (And yes, I work in fundraising, but no, not at WHYY).

This is great news for those who want to preserve and enhance Philadelphia's print media! While they're at it, they should permanently disable the anonymous comment section where mentally unbalanced readers go out of their way to give the Philadelphia region a black eye by posting racist, senseless, or factually inaccurate psychobabble.
