The independent film "The Sessions" starring John Hawkes and Helen Hunt is bringing a lot of attention to the issue of "sex surrogates" therapists who help clients overcome issues around intimacy.
In their weekly conversation, WHYY Behavioral health reporter Maiken Scott and Dan Gottlieb discuss their work.
"The Sessions" is a film based on the life of poet and writer Mark O'Brien who was paralyzed from the neck down because of polio. He hired a sex surrogate to lose his virginity at age 38.
