A day after dramatic happenings at the New York and Oakland occupy demonstrations, Philadelphia's movement still appears to be at odds with city government. Over the weekend, Mayor Michael Nutter said the city was finding it difficult to communicate with the movement, which brands itself leaderless.

George Ciccariello-Maher is Assistant Professor of History and Politics at Drexel University, focusing on grassroots political movements. We asked asked Ciccariello-Maher how the city should attempt to communicate with the Occupy movement in the absense of a clear leader.
