Jeff Edelstein is a columnist for the Trentonian newspaper. He was at the beach with his family in Spring Lake, New Jersey when he was approached by a beach supervisor.
Without identifying himself, the supervisor called a cop, who let Edelstein off with a verbal warning. What was his crime? Public nudity.
But neither Edelstein nor his wife were the offenders. Those would be Edelstein's son and daughter, ages 2 and 4, whose parents had stripped them out of their bathing suits to clean the sand off of them. Edelstein penned two columns (one, two) about the incident this week. I spoke with Jeff Edelstein about the incident.
