What do you get when you combine the words "car" and "advertise" together?

The answer: Carvertise

The owner of the company is a Delaware entrepeneur who noticed there was a channel in the advertising market being ignored. And that's when Carvertise was born.

"I was amazed that marketers were using buses to carry an advertisement and billboards to carry advertisements but here's this other channel," said owner Mac Nagaswami.

That channel was the private vehicle owner. Nagaswami wondered, "Why not use every day cars to advertise which are getting more exposure than buses and billboards combined?"

"The unique ability of this out of home car advertising channel is to be able to get your message seen in other areas that can't be reached," Nagaswami said.

The company, which started three years ago, hires drivers willing to travel with a brand on their cars - from soccer mom to office worker. High School teacher Jen O'Neill, was one of the first people to sign up for the job.

"In the beginning, people were like, 'Why are doing that?' Now people are asking me where I can do it," O'Neill said.

Today more people are certainly showing interest in the company. At one time, Nagaswami would hear from about eight potential drivers daily. That number has since climbed to 80-100 people willing to drive around in a vehicle covered with advertisements.

Nagaswami has been signing more clients, some as far as Philadelphia. The goal is to continue to expand and possibly reach markets in New Jersey as well.

"The next step that we are going to take is definitely Philadelphia, it's a much larger market, there's a lot more brands that are centered in that location," Nagaswami said.
