The Shady Grove Music Fest is Wilmington, Delaware’s premier festival for local & original music. It originated in 2002 (as the Arden Music Fest) featuring up and coming national rock bands. It has evolved into the first Delaware music festival to solely promote local, original talent from the tri-state area. Enjoy the sounds live, original, home-grown music under the canopy of the Arden woods. This rain or shine festival is family friendly, so bring the kiddos (but leave the pups at home). For your comfort, bring a lawn chair or blanket. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. No outside food or beverages are permitted. Arden Club.

 

061317ladybugLadybug Music Festival, July 20th & 21st

The Ladybug Festival is an annual event that celebrates women in music. The event was created in 2012 by Gable Music Ventures as a block party for the residents of the 2nd & Loma neighborhood in downtown Wilmington, Delaware. Ladybug Festival was Inspired in part by the announcement of Firefly Festival, which would bring tens of thousands of people into Delaware less than an hour from Wilmington. The announcement of Firefly was met with a lot of excitement, however, many were unable to afford the ticket price, and there was general disappointment from local artists that they weren't able to perform.

The annual fair also highlights the heritage of the community, its ties to agriculture, industry, and businesses that are the backbone of Southern Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The Fair’s central Delaware location provides a gathering place for nearby communities to showcase their best resources - their youth, agriculture and a sense of community in addition to their products and skills. The fair includes rides, games, food, music, entertainment and more! Harrington.

There is no decade like the ’80s and no party like “The Back to the Eighties Show,” with Jessie’s Girl. Every Saturday night for the last five years, crowds of ecstatic fans and newcomers alike have thrown on their best spandex, leg warmers and metal gear, lined up, and headed to downtown NYC for an all-out celebration.
