Ruling puts Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission under Right to Know Law
Following a ruling by Pennsylvania's Office of Open Records, most of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission's documents will be available to the public by request.
The commission's inclusion under the Right to Know Law comes as victory to the Pennsylvania Transit Expansion Coalition, which had previously filed a request to view DVRPC documents to "figure out the source within DVRPC of the hostility the group has met with," according to a report by PlanPhilly.
PA-TEC opposes the construction of more parking garages at SEPTA regional rail stations. The DVRPC is a bi-state agency that coordinates infrastructure planning in parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey.
The DVRPC has 30 days from the July 19 ruling to turn over the requested documents to PA-TEC.
