More than 100 applications for disaster recovery assistance were filed Saturday at the newly opened FEMA Disaster Recovery Center in Delaware County.

The Daily Times reports yesterday was the first day for residents to take advantage of federal aid.

More than $47 million is available to residents of Pennsylvania impacted by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.

The Daily Times says the Delaware County recovery center is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.
