Made in America: Live Nation/Philly contract numbers are in
Philadelphians let out collective sigh following an uneventful (read safe) music festival over Labor Day Weekend. Made in America went off without a hitch, giving the city a big plus one in the tourism category.
Many residents questioned what the overall take was for the city. Rumors of a soggy, tax-payer funded cleanup had the interwebs all ablaze.
Well, the verdict is in, as CBS3 obtained a copy of the Made in America contract between Live Nation and Philadelphia from the city Controller's Office.
Though they stipulate that all numbers are estimates and not final figures, these initial reports show Live Nation reimbursing the city over $500,000. Here's the breakdown:
• Police: $220,000
• Fairmont Park: $120,000
• EMS & OEM: $90,000
• Sanitation: $60,000
• L & I : $10,000
• Health : $1,000
CBS3 also reported that the ticket take on the event totaled over $5 million.
