Though hand washing is a time-tested germ reducer, experts say not enough people are washing their hands.

According to CBS3, a recent study put forth by a local paper and personal hygiene company shows that hand washing habits have a way to go.

Center City based SCA surveyed 1,000 American adults on hand washing habits. The survey found that 33 percent of men admitted to not washing their hands "thoroughly with soap and water after using a public restroom."

Just imagine the at-home percentage...

The numbers were slightly better for women revealing that one in five, or 20 percent of ladies have the same bad habit.

Sixty-five percent of women believe hand washing is critical, compared to just 53 percent of men.
