Sustainability experts warn against rushing to rebuild Jersey's shore towns

A new Monmouth University/Asbury Park Press poll released this week shows the majority of New Jersey residents support the concept of a regional commission to oversee the rebuilding of the state's shore towns damaged by Superstorm Sandy.

Among the survey's findings: Two-thirds favor allowing towns in high-risk areas to impose a short-term moratorium on rebuilding to allow time for new plans and codes to be developed
