Autopsy report on Delaware courthouse shooter to be released

Attorney General Beau Biden is allowing the Delaware medical examiner to release the autopsy report of Thomas Matusiewicz, a week after his family called out the AG’s office in a YouTube video.
Last week, Matusiewicz’s wife Lenore and her sister-in-law Linda Kula accused the AG’s office of withholding the results as a political move for the state’s new gun legislation.
"The authorities are not happy that Tom is dead and because they do not have a sacrificial lamb to hand over to the public in Wilmington, Del.," said Kula in the YouTube video. "So it's their opinion that they give them these white people, then the public will be pleased. And that is what this is all about. The gun control matter is a second issue. I'm not sure which is Biden's stepping ladder.”
Lenore has stated that Tom suffered from a brain tumor which made his behavior unpredictable at times and believes it contributed to the deadly shooting. An autopsy was performed, but Biden’s office had refused to allow Delaware's medical examiner to release the results citing an ongoing investigation into the use of force by police, during the courthouse shooting.
The Matusiewicz family also wants a private examination of the body to be preformed.
"He [Biden] has told the medical examiner's office that they are not allowed to give me any information about my husband," said Lenore in the video. "They are not to release his body to anyone who is not a mortician. What will stop them from cremating him or burying him someplace where I'll never find him?"
According to the Associated Press, the medical examiners office notified the Matusiewicz family that it had reached a “time threshold” for holding the body and would begin the process of a state burial if they don’t claim it soon.
Matusiewicz killed his ex-daughter-in-law Christine Belford and her friend Laura Mulford before turning the gun on himself at the New Castle County Courthouse. Son David Matusiewicz and ex-wife Belford were scheduled to appear for a child support hearing on Feb. 11.
David Matusiewicz remains in federal custody for violating probation. A probation violation hearing is set for April 23.
