Daylight savings ends: Set the clocks back one hour tonight
The first Sunday in November marks the end to daylight saving time. Early Sunday morning, Nov. 3, 2013, we 'fall back' to standard time, beginning at 2 a.m.
According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, daylight saving time is the part of the year when we advance our clocks by one hour, shifting the time of day in relation to where the Sun is above Earth. This change helps keep the hours of daylight coordinated with the time that most people are active.
