Tony was the Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist for The Philadelphia Inquirer for 41 years, where his cartoons, seemingly simple and always direct, influenced public opinion and politicians in the city, state and country. At WHYY, working on both cultural and political subjects, he has pioneered a new form of online cartooning, while continuing to produce a steady stream of award-winning cartoons that appear first on NewsWorks before syndication across the country.
Will the U.S. join the rest of the industrialized nations and provide basic, affordable health care for all its citizens, or will we revert to the previous failed system, with millions uninsured or denied coverage because of pre-existing conditions?
