Christmas Caroling in McMichael Park 7 p.m.

East Fall's 25th Annual Christmas Caroling in McMichael Park at 7 p.m.

The pathway in McMichael Park is trimmed with luminaries, and the air buzzes with music played by a brass ensemble beginning at 6:45pm. After we have sung the last carol, everyone is invited to the East Falls Presbyterian Church at the corner of Midvale Avenue and Vaux Street for hot apple cider and cookies (homemade made by bakers from around East Falls). We have heard from the North Pole that Santa Clause will meet us at the church again this year!

One of the event's founders and retired East Falls Branch librarian, Wendy Moody is returning with a group of local singers, The Wendellas. The group enjoyed so much singing together for the Fall Festival's local talent night, they and we are excited about their return as the Carol Sing song leaders!

As always, this year's celebration is sponsored by East Falls Community Council, The Friends of the Falls of Schuylkill Library and East Falls Presbyterian Church. The sponsors will be soliciting community participation in providing cookies for the reception. Contributions of goodies may be brought to East Falls Presbyterian Church any time during the day on December 15th. This is a rain or shine event. So, in case of inclement weather, the Carol Sing will take place indoors at the East Falls Presbyterian Church, only one block down Midvale Avenue from the Park. See you in the park!
