  • Rehoboth resident sues over scooter parking fees

    A Rehoboth Beach resident has filed a federal lawsuit challenging the town's new $40 parking permit fee for motorized scooters.

    In a complaint filed Monday, Lawrence Myslewski says the new fee is unconstitutional because residents do not have to pay to get parking permits for their cars or other motorized vehicles.  More »

  • Hershey launching chocolate bar in Chinese cities

    The Hershey Company says it's launching a new chocolate bar in three Chinese cities next month, followed by a wider distribution next year.

    The central Pennsylvania-based company says it will mark the first brand new brand it's launched outside the United States in its nearly 120-year history.  More »

  • Sequestration scraps McGuire-Dix July 4 celebration

    Military fireworks won't be going off as planned this Independence Day due to the federal sequester.

    Jersey's Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in Lakehurst, N.J., has canceled its annual July Fourth celebration due to furloughs caused by congressionally mandated automatic budget cuts.

    The annual event featured displays by the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard. There also were fireworks.
