Traveling Vietnam War memorial comes to Philadelphia for those who can't visit the site

For those who've found it too difficult to visit the Vietnam War Memorial, the memorial has come to them.

The Traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Museum has come to Philadelphia, setting up shop in Independence Mall in honor of those who served in the war. In exchange for bringing the memorial to them, those whose loved ones served in the war are encouraged to bring photos of the vets to the traveling memorial.

Mayor Michael Nutter and Supreme Court Justice Ron Castille were in attendance for the wreath-laying ceremony, as seen in the photos above from reader Bob Shipman, and the address from Susan Werbe of the History Channel, which is partnering with the traveling memorial to educate people about the war.
