Philadelphia International is one of 28 airports that will test the Transportation Security Administration's lower-hassle security screening program.

Eligible passengers will be able to save time at security by keeping their shoes and belts on by supplying more personal information about themselves. The program is already being tested at seven airports.

As the Associated Press explains, these passengers will present a specially marked boarding pass to security officers, having already supplied personal information about themselves. Security officers will scan a barcode on the pass, and passengers deemed low-risk can keep their shoes and belts on.

By the end of the year, certain passengers in a handful of airlines' frequent flyer programs will be eligible.
