Police investigate the ‘suspicious’ death of a five-year-old

A five-year-old boy was found unresponsive by medics who arrived at a North Philadelphia apartment.
It all happened on the 600 block of North 13th Street at around 1 a.m. this morning.
According to ABC6, the child was taken to Hahnemann Hospital in cardiac arrest and was later pronounced dead.
"Hospital officials told police they noticed bruises and what appeared to be cigarette burns on the child's chest."
Police are considering the boy's death suspicious and have brought the child's mother and her boyfriend in for questioning.
