The CDC has found that the number of people getting flu shots falls off dramatically after Thanksgiving, so its designated the first week in December 'National Influenza Vaccination Week.'

According to CBS3, the week is meant as a reminder that flu season lasts until May, and that it's not too late to get protected.

The flu vaccine changes annually, depending on the most pervasive influenza threats. This year's mix includes a swine flu dose in addition to two other strains.
