More New Jersey residents are being ordered to leave their homes after a train derailment last week released a hazardous gas into the air.

But officials say that doubling the size of the evacuated area to include about 100 more homes means they can lift a shelter-in-place order that had covered the entire town of Paulsboro.

The evacuation order is expected to last until Sunday, a day longer than previously expected.

Paulsboro's schools are to remain closed.
