Del. offering teachers anonymous survey

State officials are giving Delaware teachers a chance to say what they really think about their jobs without revealing their names.

Officials are launching an online anonymous online survey later this month to find out what teachers say they need to do their jobs.

The survey, funded by the state's Race to the Top federal grant, will be open to school-based, licensed educators, including administrators.

Every school will receive a packet of letters containing individual seven-digit, anonymous access codes for educators by Jan. 22. The letters will be sent to each school's representative of the state teachers union. Principals and union representatives then will distribute the letters randomly at faculty meetings.

Educators will have until Feb. 15 to take the survey, and results will be released in March.
