22nd annual Rainbow Ball benefits residents of The Abramson Center for Jewish Life
The Madlyn and Leonard Abramson Center for Jewish Life held its 22nd annual Rainbow Ball Oct. 20 at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. Karen and Neil Model of Newtown received the Family Award in recognition of their commitment to improving the quality of life of older adults.
More than 400 attended the art deco-themed gala, chaired by Sarita and Morris Gocial and Michelle and Ronald Yellin. The gala and its Family Album ad book, chaired by Teri and David Cutler and Stefi and Marvin Levin, grossed more than $700,000 for the center.
Proceeds from the benefit will help offset the cost of care for the 65 percent of the center's residents who rely on medical assistance. The Abramson Center, located in Horsham, provides services for seniors, including nursing care, residential living, hospice, and transitional care.
