MS Dinner of Champions raises $465,000 for research, education and services

Judith M. von Seldeneck, founder, chair, and CEO of Diversified Search, an executive search firm, was honored  during the MS Dinner of Champions by the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown on Nov. 9. She received the society's Hope Award in recognition of her commitment to philanthropy and leadership in the community.

Von Seldeneck, who knows what makes Philadelphia tick, has a list of nonprofit accomplishments as long as Broad Street. She is currently chair of the Private Sector Outreach Board, a partnership between the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor of Philadelphia, is on the board of the Global Philadelphia Association, and is a former chair of the Chamber of Commerce. With women's issues being near and dear to her heart, she currently chairs the Women's Advisory Council and is a founder of the Forum of Executive Women.

Among the 600 guests were Joe Frick, Molly Shepard of the Leader's Edge; Afaf Meleis, dean of nursing at the University of Pennsylvania; Citizens Bank regional president and CEO Dan Fitzpatrick; Rosemarie Greco; and U.S. Appellate Judge Marjorie "Midge" Rendell, who each gave a heartfelt tribute during the evening. The society's MS Dinner of Champions raised $465,000 for the chapter to support multiple sclerosis research, education, and services.
