I'll be your Facebook friend if....:
You are one of the following: a person with artistic spirit, a silver tongued miscreant, a thumb wrestler, someone who owns a riding bull, a professional eater, a circus freak or just an all around fun person.
If I could have dinner with one famous person, this is who and here's the question I'd be dying to ask:
I’d love to have dinner with Patti Smith, I grew up listening to her music and still consider her a strong role model. I’d ask her who her influences are and what helps drive her to success.
Heroes from history:
Strong women figures like Annie Oakley, Mae West, Georgia O’Keaffe, Virginia Woolf
Person in my field I most admire:
I love Guy Aitchison’s bright meticulous color work and Mike DeVries tattoo portraits.
If you turned on my car radio right now, it'd be tuned to:
104.5, but I mostly listen to my iPod.
Last concert I attended:
Just went last Saturday to the World Cafe Live at the Queen to see the Peek-a-Boo Revue, before that I saw La Traviata at The Grand Opera House in Wilmington. Both shows were great!
Favorite musical performer(s) or composer(s):
Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Muse, Mars Volta, Queen, Mumford and Sons, Dresden Dolls
Music I play to lift my soul:
Pissing in a River by Patti Smith, Bones by The Killers, I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness, Love Me Dead by Ludo
Favorite painter or painting:
I love Jose Guadalupe Posada’s Day of the Dead themed woodcuts. Especially Happy Dance and Wild Party of All the Skeletons.
Favorite Vacation Spot:
I really liked going to Williamsburg, VA. I particularly enjoyed the historic buildings, antique shopping and candle lit ghost tour. I also had a great time getting married in Vegas.
The top item on my "bucket list" of things to do before I die is:
My husband bought me a banjo for my birthday last year and a unicycle the year before. I would really love to learn how to use both, maybe not simultaneously.
Anything else you'd like us to know:
I can’t watch horror movies (not even the corny ones). I enjoy sculpting sugar skull jewelry out of clay and painting folk art animal portraits. I do not twirl my spaghetti with a spoon. I love anything vintage, and designed my tattoo shop accordingly. I love my scooter, MacBook and two out of my three dogs. Most of all, I just love to laugh.
