When 14-year-old Andrew McDonough was diagnosed with leukemia in 2007, people across Wilmington rallied around his family. After the curly-haired Salesianum freshman died, his family started the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, because that was Andrew's blood type and the way he lived his life. The foundation is national now and has grown into a fundraising powerhouse.
