Comcast sees decrease in loss of video customers

Comcast faces stiff competition these days, what with the availability of Verizon FiOS and the growing number of Internet TV streaming services.

But the numbers don't lie, and they say the cable giant lost fewer video customers last year than it did in 2010.

The Business Journal reports 460,000 people cut their Comcast video service last year, down from 757,000 in 2010.

 

But gains aren't predicted. Aside from the unlikeliness that former customers will come crawling back, the company plans to raise its rates this quarter.
