'Black Madam' arrested at Germantown buttocks-enhancement 'party'

According to a report from NewsWorks content partner NBC Philadelphia, "Philadelphia Police raided what they call a 'Pumping Party' Wednesday evening at a Germantown home and arrested Padge Windslowe, the woman also known as the 'Black Madam.'"
Their report also stated that, "Windslowe is accused of performing a botched butt-enhancement procedure on 20-year-old British student Claudia Aderotimi at the Hampton Inn near Philadelphia International Airport in Feb. 2011, according to police. Aderotimi died after the procedure was performed."
Police public affairs Officer Tanya Little told NewsWorks on Thursday that Wednesday night's raid stemmed from a case where a woman claimed she had received silicone injections from Windslowe at a Feb. 19 "butt party" attended by three other women.
The 23-year-old victim, who told police she paid $1,000 to attend, was taken to Lankenau Hospital where doctors found the silicone had entered her lungs.
Investigators learned on Sunday that a second injection event was scheduled for Wednesday night. Officers went to the location in the 100 block of E. Pastorius St., observed the suspect entering with a bag filled with "her tools."
Little said they then entered the home and found Windslowe, of the 6100 block of N. 62nd St., sitting at a dining room table.
The 42-year-old woman was then arrested on aggravated assault, theft by deceptive practices and other related charges, Little said. Police said they could soon charge Windslowe with homicide in connection with the Feb. 2011 case.
She remained in custody Thursday on $10 million bail.
Lt. John Walker of Southwest Detectives said police "are looking to speak with any other person who may have had a procedure performed by [Windslowe] or other persons in the underground world." Anyone with information is asked to call (215) 686-3183 or the tipline at (215) 686-8477.
