With just hours until the worst of the storm hit, some grocery shoppers in North Philadelphia picked up a few last minute items today at the Fresh Grocer on North Broad Street.

Tom Clark stopped to buy cat food for a homeless cat he feeds.  He works as a building engineer for the School District of Philadelphia.

"Got to make sure that the drains are cleared!" said Clark.  "Cleaned Broad Street, been here since five."

Clark says he's prepared for the serious weather, "I've got four changes of clothes so just another day.  Have you ever been in the service? Everyday's just the same as the day before - got to do what you got to do."

Wendy Bullock also stopped byt the grocery store -- but she wasn't focused on food.  She came to get movies to watch with her daughter from the Redbox rental machine

Joyce Muhammed was at the Fresh Grocer too, working.  The cashier started at 6 oclock this morning and says a lot of customers have come in.  "Quite a few, quite a few people."  She says the crowd included people who waited until the very last minute to do their grocery shopping and, "People who think the storm is not going to be that bad."
