A mixed bag for trick-or-treaters

Trick-or-treaters around the Philadelphia region should check before heading out tonight.

Many neighborhoods are rescheduling Halloween because of Hurricane Sandy.

Kids in Middletown Township in Bucks County will be making the rounds next Wednesday, Nov. 7.

Spokeswoman Lisa Berkis says it's still too dangerous to go out tonight.

"There is a great amount of debris in the community still," she said. "We still have large areas of the township that are without power and we feel that the safety of our children come first."

But Newark, Delaware city manager Carol Houck says Halloween goes on as planned.

"If we were in a state where we had more extensive damage there could always be the possibility that we may reach out to our residents and ask them to hold off," she said. "But we're not in that position."

In New Jersey, Gov. Chris Christie signed an executive order to move Halloween to Monday, Nov. 5.
